"STAND, SPEAK, AND SING" - A SPLENDID ADDRESS GIVEN BY SONYA AT "TURF" LAST NIGHT.

Last night at TURF, The Upper Room Fellowship above Creation in Cross Keys we had one of our fellowship members Sonya Stock (pictured below) giving an excellent talk on "STAND, SPEAK AND SING".

Basing her address around 2 Chronicles 20, Sonya urged us to follow the example of King Jehoshaphat of Judah when he was under attack from the enemies of Moab and Ammon.

The King was told by the Lord via the prophet Jahaziel to fear not, for the upcoming battle "is not your's but God's" (verse 15). As such, Judah and Jerusalem already had the victory because the enemy was defeated by the Lord Himself. It is the same with us today. Even though at times we find the going getting a little tough as the Devil seems to get the upper hand, this is when we must spiritually lift ourselves and know that we have the victory in Jesus who defeated Satan at Calvary's Cross.

Jehoshaphat was told to gather his armies, but not for warfare! They were to "Stand" in anticipation, not to fight (v17), to "Speak" out in praise of the Lord for their victory (verses 18-20), and then to "Sing" (verses 21-22) in thanksgiving for their triumph as the Almighty delivered them.

We too are to Stand, Speak, and Sing in praise and worship unto the Lord, for our battles are already won, Satan is defeated, and we worship a victorious God.

HERE IS A BRIEF HISTORY ABOUT ME...AND A MAP.

Hello, my name is John Whittle from Cross Keys near Newport. I give you a very warm welcome to my new blog. I am married to Diana and we have two grown up children. I am also a part time itinerant Christian teacher who preaches the full counsel of the Bible, the Word of God. I particularly love Bible Prophecy, and I stress the imminent approach of the Rapture of the Church to Heavenly Glory, before our great God and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, returns to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem to set up His Millennial Kingdom on earth.  
This map shows the exact location of ''The Upper Room Fellowship'' aka (TURF) and X marks the spot near Crosskeys Train Station.  Directly opposite is the brightly painted blue & white Crosskeys General Store next to the Kebab House....so no excuses for not finding us. We are situated above 'CREATION' a hairdressing salon...how cool is that?  'The Upper Room above Creation' couldn't be a more appropriate dwelling place PTL. This is the scripture the Lord gave me:-  ''And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared; there make ready for us'' Mark 14: 15. The Upper Room is over 50 foot in length and 43 foot wide.. It is indeed well furnished to accommodate 75 people, it is also prepared with a P.A system, OHP & PPP facilities, and made ready for our conference meetings.... Spot on exactly as the scripture said it would be.

          
This is the place to look for when you arrive at Crosskeys train station at the traffic light cross roads of Risca Road and Gladstone Street.. We are at the top.

During our time of service to the dear Lord, Diana and I have been involved with many missions.......beach missions.......street missions.......and taken vital aid to Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Macedonia and Splott.. The Lord has enabled us to make 34 trips across Europe to some of the poorest communities..and has provided everything to take.. Not once did we need to ask anyone for cash to make these trips, Jehovah Jireh supplied every need far more exceeding and abundantly than we could ask or think....to an overwhelming overflow...... Think about that one Benny & Co; Ltd:

      Stand down from your unchristian moral stand, stand back, stop stirring, Let God do his work . You are being Very UNCHRISTIAN in your writings. Not Christian at all. I don't know what has gone on but only see your messages and your hatrid. You are sinning yourself behaving like this . I expect you will defriended me now . But God loves the sinner but not the sin , if he has forgiven who are you not to accept it.
