"STAND, SPEAK, AND SING" - A SPLENDID ADDRESS GIVEN BY SONYA AT "TURF" LAST NIGHT.

Last night at TURF, The Upper Room Fellowship above Creation in Cross Keys we had one of our fellowship members Sonya Stock (pictured below) giving an excellent talk on "STAND, SPEAK AND SING".

Basing her address around 2 Chronicles 20, Sonya urged us to follow the example of King Jehoshaphat of Judah when he was under attack from the enemies of Moab and Ammon.

The King was told by the Lord via the prophet Jahaziel to fear not, for the upcoming battle "is not your's but God's" (verse 15). As such, Judah and Jerusalem already had the victory because the enemy was defeated by the Lord Himself. It is the same with us today. Even though at times we find the going getting a little tough as the Devil seems to get the upper hand, this is when we must spiritually lift ourselves and know that we have the victory in Jesus who defeated Satan at Calvary's Cross.

Jehoshaphat was told to gather his armies, but not for warfare! They were to "Stand" in anticipation, not to fight (v17), to "Speak" out in praise of the Lord for their victory (verses 18-20), and then to "Sing" (verses 21-22) in thanksgiving for their triumph as the Almighty delivered them.

We too are to Stand, Speak, and Sing in praise and worship unto the Lord, for our battles are already won, Satan is defeated, and we worship a victorious God.

PASTOR LESTER FRECKLETON.

PASTOR LESTER FRECKLETON SPEAKING AT THE UPPER ROOM ABOVE CREATION IN CROSS KEYS RECENTLY.

Recently we had at The Upper Room Fellowship (TURF) at our weekly meeting "above Creation" in Cross Keys we had the pleasure of listening to the excellent Pastor Lester Freckleton from Cardiff.

Taking as his subject "Be Connected To Your God Given Purpose", Lester had his audience enthralled for over an hour as he spoke eloquently on our need to tap into our service and stewardship for the Lord, which He ordained for us in advance.

Taking us through such marvellous passages as Psalm 139 and Ephesians 2, the wordsmith from our Capital City enlarged on this fascinating subject and with a thorough Bible study of many passages in Revelation, Ecclesiastes, Genesis, Judges, and Exodus, he led us through a splendid evening of ministry, as well as good praise, worship, and fellowship.

The meeting was recorded and is available on CD. Here are a few photos from the gathering.
